"I've recently started taking medication related to my Mental Health, should I let you know?"

Yes please, the more I know, the better I will be able to accommodate your personal circumstances during our sessions.

"I'm not in Leeds, but I would like to work with you, is that OK?"

Absolutely! I am offering telephone and Zoom sessions throughout the Covid-19 period and we will be able to use the same confidential methods to accommodate long distance sessions.

"I have accessibility requirements, will the location of your practice be accessible to me?"

Definitely, as I am currently offering virtual appointments only I am happy to offer virtual appointments to those who may prefer this method.

"I work and/or have childcare to consider, what are your available hours?"

I am available most evenings 5.30 - 7pm and also Saturday/Sunday mornings from 9am - 1pm. To view my upcoming availability, and to book an appointment, please click "Make a Booking" to the right of this screen.

"I don't need long term support, but I would like somewhere to offload every so often, do you offer this service?"

Yes - my background means I specialise in not only long term work but also short term therapeutic intervention. I am currently offering either one-off sessions, weekly sessions or monthly sessions dependant on your personal needs.

"I've never had Counselling before, what should I expect?"

Counselling is referred to as "Talking Therapy", which I always feel sums up the process rather nicely. The intention is to provide a warm, empathetic environment from which you can really explore your inner world with a trained professional. The sessions are lead by you, and my role is to become a guide; using an understanding of human psychology and therapeutic techniques I offer observations and questions to support your personal journey. Above all else I am a confidante, third party witness to the incredible discoveries made from within and a friend who holds the light and hope until you are able to claim your own.

"I want to get started, what is the process"

First thing first, please get in contact with me either via email, text or phonecall - whichever is easiest for you. We will need to arrange an "initial assessment', which is where we will go through a couple of questions, your details and the Business Contract. Once all signed off our journey together begins, and from the first session we will take things at your pace to discuss what may be on your mind. During the assessment we will agree a session duration (1,6 or 10 sessions), which also allows us to work towards a therapeutic ending.
